Worked my first proper shift at the new job today. Was frankly astounded at how little there was to do. I am used to shifts of heavy labour and non-stop customers, not occasional light tidying, a bit of folding and four customers in five hours. Change of pace certainly, remains to be seen whether for positive or negative.

Went to the multicultural festival in town today. It was awesome, except for the utterly obscene heat. Stacks of food stalls and people doing different cultural dances and throngs of people everywhere.
